Job description

Do you thrive in a busy international environment and enjoy the challenge of working in a complex, multi-lingual, high profile organisation? We are looking for someone with a strong track record of managing and co-ordinating space and ground segment operations. You will have experience of managing external service providers in providing real time data services/systems. You will lead a team of operations engineers and analysts, managing the ground stations and network infrastructure supporting our Meteosat, EPS, Jason and Sentinel-3 missions. This is an opportunity not only to work on current missions, but to co-ordinate the medium and long term planning of our ground stations and Telemetry, Tracking and Commanding (TT&C) services, also participating in preparation activities for future satellite systems.

Your work at EUMETSAT

This is an international environment and you must have excellent communication and team management skills, along with the ability to work alongside industry partners. You can communicate complex ideas clearly and in a concise manner and you will have experience of writing requirement documents for space-related projects. You need to be up to the challenge of working in an organisation which embraces cutting-edge science and technology. Needless to say, we want someone with an eye for detail and the ability to evaluate trends in data flows. You will define requirements for future evolutions of ground stations and participate in the implementation and validation of changes. You will assist in the provision of training to our operational staff.

What we offer

You will work in a collaborative, international environment which offers you a competitive salary and outstanding benefits. You will work with people who are experts in their field. We value diversity and seek to recruit nationals from our Member States.
